Reaching Out To The Community

Earthquake, Fund-raising, Kay Angel, Kids

This morning I went to see our Dr Ernest, who also works at Hopital St Michel. Luckily he is fine, and he is working so very hard to treat all the wounded people. I went to make an  in-kind donation from our orphanage to the hospital.

Gala had brought us so many oxygen masks and urinal catheters, and 3 neck-collars last April 2009, and I know they need all those things very badly and we don’t. I just kept 2 masks behind just in case Idoris will have another episode of breathing problems. The doctor was sooo happy with these materials, specially the 3 neck collars. He has many people who are in need for that So thanks again Gala for schlepping all that down last year

HELP CHILDREN IN HAITI

Meet Martin

MartinMeet Little Martin. On a routine visit to a hospital we noticed a little disabled boy in one of the hospital cribs. The boy had been left to fend for himself, he had no identification and his birthday is a mystery. He had been in the hospital for a few days and had been severely neglected: his diapers were soiled and he was covered in lice. No one had taken any notice of this little boy in a few days and we were left with no choice but to bring the little boy home. In honor of one the Kay Angel founders we named the boy “Little” Martin.
