Robin has been keeping me posted and I was so relieved to hear that you & the children are all ok. I have posted your story to my Facebook page as well as my e mail list which collectively has about 5,000 members and I’m hoping many will help. Having followed these children for some time, I feel personally in touch with the tragedy taking place in Haiti. To know that these children have survived, and to hear of the courage of Lia makes a difference in how I view the world. My prayers and “metta” are with all.

Just talked to Daan. She started fund-raising among friends in Holland and she told me that in two days there will be more details on how to wire it directly on account of your orphanage in Jacmel. Hope all details will be displayed on top of this page.

As mentioned by Sandy, it would be good to indicate what goods you need and instructions on how to get them to you.

We really appreciate you wanting to help out.
There is no way to ship physical goods like clothes, tents or medications to Haiti. Shipping there has been challenging if not impossible in the best of times. Right now, it’s sheer chaos. Money is much more useful right now.

I just found your website and can’t help but cry. You are so strong and positive. You are the true definition of how people should be. I wish I could fly on plane with a million dollars and give it to you but I’m just a young mother and only have enough for my children. Can I send a check from Canada? One day when my children grow up I hope I can come help at an orphanage like yours. It would fill up my heart.
